Extension MCP for Codex and Claude Code
Codex or Claude Code sends collection tasks through MCP. Your signed-in browser extension collects the requested data and sends the results back. Collection requires the extension to be online.
Use MCP to collect Amazon reviews, product details, and BSR lists through your browser extension. MCP requires a separate key with the mcp:collect scope and uses your extension collection allowance. Check collection_capabilities first to confirm that your extension supports the tools you need.
Your agent creates a task, and your signed-in SellerSide.ai extension collects the data and returns the results. For BSR, you can request the top 50 or 100 products from Best Sellers or New Releases. Provide the full URL of the category page.
- 1. Install the SellerSide.ai extension in your browser.
- 2. Sign in to the extension with the same SellerSide.ai account and check that it is connected.
- 3. Create an MCP key with the mcp:collect scope in your account settings, then connect Codex or Claude Code.
Codex
Add the server to your Codex config.toml file. The key is read from a local environment variable.

Claude Code
Add an HTTP server to your personal or project MCP configuration. Never commit your actual key to a code repository.

Both clients connect to the same SellerSide.ai MCP endpoint. Your signed-in extension runs the collection tasks; Codex and Claude Code do not collect the browser data themselves.
